Last week was a very emotional day for me as it signified not only ending a struggle for what we felt I deserved but also vindication that they didn’t do their job to protect me when I spent 8 years of my life protecting them at Lahey. It was hard for me to speak.

It is also one less thing I and Leo need to worry about. I worked for the public for all of my life as you do with very little open thanks. I wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to you. You always said it was your job but it seems to me it is your calling. Anyone with enough hard work can be a lawyer or a nurse but not all can express empathy, compassion and infinite patience to guide others through a confusing and difficult journey. I am fully aware that dealing with me was not always easy. My endless questions to try and understand, my asking you to repeat yourself cause I would forget and my countless emails to decrease my anxiety was not easy to deal with.
